Sadie Belle Meade

How can I describe Sadie Belle Meade except to say that she was sassy, savvy and so very Sadie. Without a doubt, it was her undeniable spirit and unconditional love that led to the creation of our company, SoSadie.

I have never had a dog like Sadie that tried so hard to speak. She could always tell me what she wanted as well as when and how she wanted it. The products we have created for SoSadie are a reflection of her day-to-day companionship and inspiration. It was through her watchful tutelage that I discovered the capacity to indulge and pamper my most trusted and loyal friend in a way that would delight and amuse.

Sadie passed away September 29, 2003. She was my confidant, my guiding spirit, and my best friend. It was my privilege to share my life with her. She gave me more joy and happiness than ever imaginable. It is with tenderness and great affection that I share with you four simple principles I have learned from our time together:

1. Sadie had a unique way of getting your attention, a wag of the tail, a nudging with the nose or following you around until she was noticed. That made me realize that I should always make a special effort to remind friends and family how important they are.

2.Sadie always enjoyed having her belly rubbed and giving sweet doggie kisses. This taught me to always take time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life for tomorrow may never come.

3. Sadie and I always enjoyed our mealtimes together. I realized how dining can be the best part of the day, especially with good friends.

4. When day turned to night Sadie was always snuggled close beside me. The lesson learned was that at the end of the day, as sleep wraps its arms around you, never forget to tell the one beside you how much they are loved.

So as a tribute to Sadie, we’ll continue what we started which was to provide our customers and their pets with exceptional products.
After all, she was and still is SoSadie.
